Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1 Acceptance

By creating a GridSaver account, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and GridSaver.

2 The Service

GridSaver monitors electricity rates in your state and alerts you when a lower rate is available from a competing supplier. The service includes:

  • Nightly rate scans across 47+ electricity suppliers
  • Email alerts when savings opportunities are identified
  • SREC credit tracking and price monitoring for solar customers
  • The Aria AI energy assistant

GridSaver does not automatically switch your electricity supplier. You make all switching decisions yourself. When you choose to switch, you do so directly through the supplier's website using a referral link provided by GridSaver.

3 Subscription & Billing

  • GridSaver costs $4.99/month, billed monthly to your payment method on file
  • Your first 30 days are free. You will not be charged until the trial period ends
  • You may cancel at any time from Profile → Account → Cancel subscription
  • No refunds are issued for partial months after a billing cycle has begun
  • Payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms of service

4 Referral Arrangement

When you switch to an electricity supplier through a GridSaver referral link, the supplier may pay GridSaver a referral fee. This referral fee:

  • Is paid entirely by the supplier — not by you
  • Does not affect the electricity rate you receive from the supplier
  • Is disclosed here and in our FAQ for full transparency

5 You keep all savings

GridSaver does not take any percentage of the savings on your electricity bill. The difference between your old and new electricity rate is entirely yours — every month, indefinitely. Our only revenue from you is the $4.99/month subscription fee.

6 SREC Information

SREC (Solar Renewable Energy Credit) prices and generation estimates provided by GridSaver are estimates only. They are based on publicly available market data and your stated system specifications. This information:

  • Does not constitute financial, investment, or legal advice
  • Is subject to change based on market conditions and state regulations
  • Actual SREC values depend on your enrollment with a licensed SREC broker

GridSaver recommends consulting a licensed energy professional before making decisions based on SREC price data.

7 No Guarantee

GridSaver cannot guarantee that a better electricity rate will always be available in your market. Electricity markets fluctuate based on supply, demand, regulation, and fuel costs. The $4.99/month subscription fee provides access to the monitoring and alert service — it is not a guarantee of savings in any given month.

8 Auto-Switch Feature

If you enable the optional auto-switch feature in your dashboard, you authorize GridSaver to submit supplier enrollment requests on your behalf when a rate is identified that saves you $5 or more per month. By enabling auto-switch:

  • You will receive an email notification before any switch is submitted
  • You may disable auto-switch at any time from your Profile settings
  • Disabling auto-switch does not affect your ability to switch manually via alert links

Auto-switch is disabled by default. GridSaver does not switch your supplier without your explicit opt-in.

9 Account Termination

You may cancel your GridSaver account at any time from your profile settings, with no cancellation fee. GridSaver reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Abuse of the platform or Aria AI assistant
  • Non-payment of the subscription fee after the free trial period
  • Violation of these Terms of Service

In the event of termination by GridSaver, you will be notified by email with an explanation.
